Who The Genius Behind This Interface

The site and Netdisaster was created by Dennis Rionnet. A lot of guys contributed to making it a wonderful site and also creating the cool disaster you seen in the site. My favourite will be the vomit and dogpoops..hussah..its nasty!

In other case, they did won the Yahoo! Search Award as Best Innovative Website of the Year 2005. This showed great idea are very well awarded and recognize..congrat to the netdisaster team

Another wondeful site i came across during last weekend. The site navigation are clear and easy to follow and the design are very well strutured for a design showcase or design gallery alike.

About Battle Design

The Battle Design is one of the main sites of design and technology reference available in the internet. A project that has in it essence the searching for the “new”, being an incentive of concept of the web 2.0, where the usuaries collaborate and produce the content of the site. The project wants to incentivate all the professionals to do not stop searching new solutions of communication, technology and design. My Personal Thought

The idea or concept of making a battle design are very well thought…not only it will give a perspective point of view of what viewers or visitors think of the design..it also give designers some applause or rivalry on their design…come on who don’t love the challenge for being the best in battle design so if you feel like it then submit your site there are and be among the best.

Similiar concept i seen was the XHTML challenge that were cover by nick from web designer wall a while back. it is also target toward the voting of visitors and give them some ability to rate the site. Another great and fresh idea coming from web design community

During my search on some rare and unique fonts last month, i found one of the unique fonts creator that specialist in vintage letterhead fonts.

Getting a bit tired in focusing on modern font lately, i found this kind of typeface font are trully amazing and unique. Each font had its own unique flavour and style

I stumble across RevolutionArt, a site that serve as a inspirational source to artists, models, advertisers, photographers, designers and communicators in general who wish to explore new alternatives of expression through graphical samples of design, photo, ads, and general arts.

REVOLUTIONART is an international magazine edited in pdf format as a collective sample of the best of the graphics arts. It’s a revolutionary platform, a massive propaganda to communicate messages and make the people think about them.

One of the main attraction about their site is the free and great collection of design and illustrator magazine. The latest issue #10 are simply amazing although i haven’t read it yet, will make some time to read it in weekends.

Who Is “the man” behind RevolutionArt

Nelson Medina started this project. The Boyz of the revolution support the development. He has been working in advertising and corporate design for several companies and traveled around the world searching MORE inspiration. This magazine it’s the result of that search and he’s a fan of rock music, italian food, and cold places.

Spotbit.com are a magazine downloads and published portal and guess what? they’re free!

I personally downloads some of the design magazine from artzmania and love the artwork and how they present a unique and talented designer in their designer showcase. Designer from around the world are introduce and also presented with their artworks and designs ranging from illustrators work, photo manipulation, photo regeneric art, illustrator manipulation works, branding and many more.

If You Haven’t Heard About Them Yet Then You Should Cause They Rocks!

COLOURlovers.com is one of my most visited site in 2007. I mainly stalked the site and looks for any new palette that are unique and fresh. Not only their pallette choice are unbelieveable their blog post/articles about the colours around us just fascinating and very..i mean very very interesting. You often asked yourself why the sky is blue? why the grass is green? and why the hell my face looks pale(off topics)..hehe. Their blog post explain or rather dig deep into the colours where no one even bother step into.

Personal Thought

Colouring either in web design, art, illustrators are essential for designers so COLOURlovers would be a great place to learn more about making a better contrast and colours when creating a new design in the future. Be sure to stalked their blog post for more insides on colours

When talk about flash designs, who didn’t love it but for a slower broadband user (56k) it may seems took ages to open a flash based site but it is worth your time. Many flash based design are very interesting and fresh. If you are like me “those who looking for new style and fresh looks in web design” then Designlicks sure a must stop for web designer and web developer.

Just because not many designer and developer dig into flash design, that doesn’t mean it not worth watching and exploring. Inspiration comes even watching a paper floating in the air Designlicks mainly focused on extreme flash design and flash interface, the showcace really interesting and addicted, well i can’t get enough of flash stuff anyway..flying cow and shining navigation and more.

Poland based Mcdonalds website are based on flash interface design, the interface kind of catchy with shadow customers and some delivered flash food in the table. I was wondering why there only 2 customers in the flash? The flash interior design of Mcdonalds looks like a high expensive restaurant…doesn’t fit to our ordinary family fast food joint..don’t ye think but heck the flash sure impressive..

Personal Thought

The site flash design are awesome with all the mini stuff that playing around…navigation kind of confusing tho here’s a hint, watch the soccer ball rolling…if not mistaken a mighty mouse just stole the ball

Where Am I Going With This?

One of my peers did mention or rather asked me if i know any gallery site that specify in japan style web design?. As far as i know i haven’t seen one yet so i browse and digging into the deep hole of discussion/forum and see if someone mention anything close to what i’m looking. Suprisely the result i found are amazing. I successfully found 2 gallery site that showcase japanese style web design and personally i think the designs are amazing and awesome.

Here are 2 css gallery site you may missed

1. Bm.straightline.jp are a web design sharing bookmark that showcase gallery of japanese and some non-japanese web design. As you visited the site, you may notice the good used of typography in the showcase site so you should visit the site for more web design inspirations.

2. Ikesai.com are a japanese based design showcase that cover almost all aspect/category of web design/style. It had sport design, money design, life design and many more. This site is a must visit for any designer who looking for a fresh inspirations for their works.

Personal Thought

All and all both site give a fresh new look on how i see a web style and design for future work. Both site are in japanese language so be sure to keep your dictionary around

For those who haven’t heard or visited this site yet, definately worth your time to check it out. Design Melt Down been around quite some time now and what make it stand above all is their TREND CATEGORY. Believe it or not, the last time i visited the place(hehe..days ago)..i almost stay at their site for more than 8 hours mainly browse to their trend category such as 3D WORLD, EXTREME THEME, GIANT TYPE and many other awesome trend to check one by one. One particluar trend category i was interested in their SITE TYPE – COMMUNITY SERVER. that something i haven’t heard before..i took my time to browse around each site and see how the looks and feels.
