CSSfreak wordpress theme is widget-ready 3 column wordpress theme made free by maiahost. Due to popular demand of 3 column widgetize wordpress theme so i decided to released this css based free theme so that wordpress user can fully optimize their choice of colour scheme based on popular Kuler colour scheme. The theme itself are based on Kuler’s Darkvex colour scheme and the theme are fully optimize for fast loading since there’ll be no image caching based theme and all codes are coded to valid strict xhtml 1.0 and valid css 3.0. For optimal compatible the theme also coded with no-hack css so that it’ll work in almost major browser(i hope..:)).

I want to switch to CSS freak but can’t figure out how to have my logo as the header. Love the theme though
wazzup…jackbob
thanks and glad you like the cssfreak
yes..you could try open the header.php and find the line:
(h1)xxxx(/h1)and replace it with this:
(p)your logo image.gif(/p)tried it out ok….:)
Thanks, that helped a lot! Any advise on how to center it. the bottom is getting cut off (www.savedeepellum.org)
ok i checkout your site and the header kind of hidden..
try remove the height for class
.site_title {
height: xx set to o
text align: this one set to center
border: 0 to all
}
it should fit any height the logo in the header..
Hi! Great theme. How do i set the footer same width as the header?
i’ll check it out later on..ok
kind of tight scheduel right at the moment…thanks
Hey RK,
I love the theme, thank you. It’s exactly the look I’ve been searching for, but IE insists on leaving a huge blank space at the top my posts. I don’t know if it’s Bill Gates making room to post his photo at the top of every page on the web, or, more likely, I screwed up the code somewhere. It displays beautifully in Mozilla and Netscape. Any guidance or input you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
thx,
pbal
yes…in ie6 the post area went below because one of your image in the post is larger or wider than the actuall post area…the post area can only fit about 400-450px width images so you could tried to scale down one of the image: The Bessie Smith room: to something around the allowed width and let’see how that go..ok
Nice theme. I’m a little confused about this in the description:
“so that wordpress user can fully optimize their choice of colour scheme based on popular Kuler colour scheme.”
Is there some built in css theme feature I am missing?
I’d love to see the kuler watermelon version of this theme!
sorry about that..maybe some confusion in description
what i meant was the skin are easy to edit since its mainly css build so you can choose the kuler colour scheme that suit you and edit with it and no it doesn’t have a build in theme option..
Hi, great theme, thank you. is it possible to place an image in the header? i don’t have much knowledge about wordpress. can you help?
Love the template. I’m trying to customize the coloring based on a kuler scheme. However, I’m wondering how to customize the color easily. Do I do something with the .ase file or do something in the css.stylesheet?
Please give me detailed instructions. I certainly would appreciate it!

Your themes are so amazing. I can’t wait to set up one just for my site… Thanks a lot! Keep with great work…
I adore your themes, thanks
I downloaded and installed your theme. It is perfect
I apologize if I offend anybody but what can I say, my friends call me House Jr. (if you ever saw the popular American TV series House) so I just HAD to say what I am about to say.
As a developer and software engineer myself I can speak first hand about this topic, as I have endured it for a very long time now. Listen up folks…
We developers spend a lot of our time working on these tools for you and then we offer them up free of charge with all the bells and whistles we are able to provide. Many of us, like this site’s author for example, even try to offer you some sort of technical support. We have no problem with your earnest questions, comments, support, or even complaints. However, allow me to tell you what really %&^*$&#’s us off even though we never voice it to anyone. We just smile and try to comply as best we can as you pick apart, mutilate, and destroy the child we just bore.
Why? Because that’s the very reason we offered it to you freely! We want you to have fun with it, tear it up, put it back together, make something completely different and unique from it even. But please…PLEASE think about what you are asking us sometimes.
Asking us an honest “How-To” question about our product is one thing…asking us to teach you how to code in PHP, use CSS, or anything else directly related to development is not only unacceptable, but it’s just rude.
Sure, I went to college and got a degree in Software Engineering…I know what you’re thinking. However, college and the titled degree it carries is not what taught me things like deductive reasoning.
Example:
I would say to myself…
Hrmmm, I need to change the top image on this theme. Ok, I’ll start by looking through the files of the theme. I’ll look through them one at a time, look at the code, see what is there. I’ll use common sense and while looking at these files I’ll determine I should probably look at files with names like BODY, HEADER, FOOTER, etc. I mean those sound pretty important…
Oh wait! I know, first I will look at all the images in the theme folders, find the one that looks like the top image, get the name of it. That way I know what to look for in the pages!
Now let me see…here is a reference to the image on the header.php file! Awesome! Ok, so the most simple way for me to do this (if I had very little knowledge of HTML, PHP, etc.) is for me to look at the image size of the existing header image, make MY image the same size, then rename MY image to the same name, and replace the original.
Pretty simple right?
Now, I’m not trying to be a smart*** here. My point is if you want to know more about the development part, go learn it. We did…often at great expense. But do not dare, ask some sort of really involved question development related expecting us to completely teach you without even trying. Kinda like RTFM (if you’re a techy the RTFM comment will most likely give you a chuckle).
And to show you I am not trying to be a jerk (only make my point and hopefully make some people think) I am going to share some valuable information with you here with this site author’s permission. If it is disapproved then you are welcome of course to edit this post, no harm done and no feelings hurt.

It has been around for a very long time and just kept growing. The original author of this site I think still works on it as a lead editor. Very simple instructions, tutorials, and samples on each and every one of those subjects you would like to understand better. But please don’t expect us to teach you, after we already spent many days of our lives learning this technology well enough to make these things for you asking nothing in return.
Then, if trying to research it well on your own first…you still have a question, an earnest question that makes even US think? Developers everywhere would smile and politely thank you.
I think that’s fair don’t you?
And before I leave you all with these thoughts – Richie-K, awesome theme work and I really like your site design…very stylish indeed. I will definitely come to visit more now and perhaps we can work on a project together in the near future.
